Coach and Referee Development opportunities

Once we are out of Lockdown we will be running a Level 1 coaching course to kick off the indoor junior season. This course will be aimed at beginner coaches, including students, teachers and parents. We will cover the basics of coaching, from communication to practice planning to basic fundamental volleyball skills and systems. We have tentatively planned to run it on Sunday the 17th of October. We will release the final date and registration once we move to Level 2.

We will also run a Local Referee Course at the start of the junior indoor season. This is very important for our young players to attend to better understand the game.
VNZ Dynasty Next Gen Camps info

Dynasty Next Gen is a programme in Volleyball NZ’s performance space. It is replacing the old NZ youth / u17 programme, by providing a high-quality programme to engage significant numbers of athletes and coaches into enjoyable and positive volleyball experiences. Each Dynasty Next Gen camp will focus on developing the skills and mindsets needed to be successful long term in volleyball. If you love the game of volleyball, are looking to grow your game or have ambitions of representing New Zealand and achieving your volleyball goals, this programme is for you.

The programme is targeted for all aspiring youth volleyball players using three pillars
Fun – Engagement in volleyball through enjoyable and positive experiences
Connection – Connection to other players, coaches and to the national pathway
Growth – Both athletes and coaches committing to their development, maximising their future potential
